We are a Fine wine Merchant – the only boutique wine specialist in Albany. Wine and More was founded in 2007.  I have been involved in the wine trade for 30+ years and this is my 6th retail outlet.  When I first started, I believed there was a need for a good, down to earth, friendly and helpful specialist wine shop, offering a range of interesting wines from mostly small to medium sized New Zealand owned producers.  So if you purchase wine from me, you are helping support the local wine industry and putting money back into the New Zealand economy. A fine antidote to the increasing anonymity and sameness of the big chain stores and supermarkets. It was a struggle at first, but I have never compromised my “mission” to bring as many as possible of the world’s more interesting and innovative wines to my customers. That’s not to say that I go out of my way to source weird and eccentric wines, but I do believe in “Life after Chardonnay” and I do my best to seek out the absolute best style and quality from each of New Zealand’s wine regions and the rest of the world.  All of the wine I purchase is tasted and approved by me…and if I can’t find anything that fits the bill – I won’t list a wine just to be able to tick a box. As my business has grown, I have been able to access more and more of the hard to come by wines from producers that are too small to show up on the radar screens of the large retail groups and we have been able to reward our regular and loyal customers with allocations of some of these vinous treasures. I ship many more of our wines directly from the producers, which gives us exclusive access to great wines and allows us to further strengthen our price competitiveness.  If I don’t have the wine you are wanting, I will happily source it for you. I run regular wine tastings and have a wine club where I send out mixed cases on a prearranged schedule. I  promise to remain as focused as ever on quality wines, interesting wines, down to earth advice and friendly and helpful service…..all the things you would expect from your favourite independent wine merchant. We will endeavour to ship items to you as quickly and safely as we can. We apologise if we do not ship to your location. We will not deliver to a Post Office box or any address in which we deem suspicious. We ship our goods using NOW Couriers for New Zealand deliveries. If your delivery has been damaged we will happily replace it or refund it. (Please note we need you to report damaged goods within 24 hours of delivery).
